Homemade Garlic Toast

This irresistible homemade garlic toast taste so good and it’s easy to make. It was my breakfast at least for a month until it caused too much heat to my body. This recipe was introduced by a church sister from Philippines and she is really a good cook. When she first made it, I really love it so much and I found out it isn’t too hard to make. The bread selection is important to decide the crunchiness of the toast. Shallot makes the toast more aromatic and tastier as we Asian do love it so much.

Ingredients
  • Your preferred bread. (As I just need a small loaf of bread for breakfast, I like to get the Portuguese bread from Intermache.)
  • Butter.
  • Bacon
  • Fresh Shallot (I’ve tried to replace with the ready made shallot butter but it doesn’t taste good.)
  • Parmesan Cheese
Easy Steps
  1. Preheat the oven at 180C. (depends on your oven model.)
  2. Spread a layer of butter on the bread.
  3. Sprinkle some bacon, finely chopped shallot and parmesan cheese.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes until it turns crispy.
  5. Here’s the homemade garlic toast is ready to serve.
Notes
  • It is preferable to use the French bread in case you are not in Portugal. The sandwich bread might not give the same crunch of bite.
  • Do not cut the bread through the bottom so you can have both side of the bread is flavored.
